I had the privilege to sit down with Janelle Williams | Estate Planning Lawyer

Janelle Williams, who is a graduate from Spelman College and Howard University of Law. She became a licensed attorney in Georgia in 2004.

And after suffering one of the greatest losses of her life when her maternal grandmother passed away unexpectedly, the fallout of her passing without an estate plan left a permanent impression on Janelle.

She says that the vast majority of African Americans don't have any legal documents laying out their final wishes for medical care, or their life savings.

Her experience led her to focusing on finding solutions that could prevent other families from the anger and confusion that often surrounds the final days of a loved one. It's become her mission to educate her community about the legal ways to preserve their legacy, and to offer affordable flat fee services that are straightforward and clear.

I had the privilege of getting to ask Janelle some of the burning questions that I had in my mind regarding this topic.
